Santander Bank Opens New Branches In Framingham and Watertown

09/06/2022

Santander Bank, N.A. (“Santander Bank,” “Santander” or “the Bank”) announced the opening of two new branches in Massachusetts – one in Framingham located at 490 Cochituate Road and another in Watertown located at 545 Arsenal Street at Arsenal Yards. The Bank recently hosted grand openings and ribbon cuttings at each location.

“We are excited about these two new Santander branches. We built our Framingham branch from the ground up, and it’s located on a well-traveled highway with several stores and restaurants. Our Watertown branch is part of the Arsenal Yards community — a vibrant destination that offers visitors an assortment of amenities in one convenient location. We look forward to serving the banking needs of our existing customers as well as new customers who frequent these popular destinations.”

Michael Bruno
Santander Bank Region President for New England

The welcoming environment with a modern design illustrates Santander’s investment in its branch network. Each branch has several offices where clients can meet privately with bankers to discuss their financial needs. The branches also have teller bars, help bars and free Wi-Fi for clients. The 24-hour ATM vestibules are available to clients after branch hours. In addition, the Framingham location has a drive-up ATM.

Mayor Charlie Sisitsky attended the Framingham event, and Santander recognized the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) that aims to improve equity, wellness and the quality of life for diverse individuals and families. Santander Bank provided a total of $20,000 in grants to SMOC in 2021 and 2022 to support the organization’s small business loan and technical assistance programs that help entrepreneurs in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods start, stabilize and grow their businesses. Since 2017, Santander Bank has provided a total of $105,000 in funding to SMOC, and its colleagues have volunteered more than 700 hours.

During the Watertown celebration, Santander presented a $50,000 check to Metro Housing|Boston, the second installment of a two-year, $100,000 commitment to support the organization’s Green Space program that provides financial literacy and housing stabilization to individuals and families in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods in Greater Boston. Metro Housing|Boston provides critical resources to help individuals and families gain housing stability, economic security and an improved quality of life.

“We are always looking for ways to support our local communities and South Middlesex Opportunity Council and Metro Housing|Boston are strengthening our neighborhoods and supporting local residents in need,” added Bruno.

To deepen engagement with the Watertown community, there is a fully equipped conference room the public can use for meetings and space for after-hours events. For more information about booking a conference room at the Watertown branch, please speak to the branch manager.
