Santander US (“Santander”) is taking the next step in partnering with Verizon through a new in-store activation that brings Openbank, the digital banking division of Santander Bank, N.A., and the Verizon + Openbank Savings experience into select retail locations, combining digital banking innovation with the strength of in-person engagement.
From June 1 through August 31, Openbank Representatives will activate in-store pop-ups featuring co-branded booth displays at eight Verizon retail locations across Miami and the Northeast. The initiative is designed to deepen customer engagement, raise awareness, and make a digital-first savings offering more approachable in a familiar retail environment.
The activation brings together the retail strengths of both organizations: Santander’s customer-focused banking approach and Verizon’s national store presence, creating a new way to engage customers in places they already know and trust.

Building on the Verizon Partnership
The in-store activation builds on the multi-year partnership Santander and Verizon announced in 2025 to introduce a distinctive high yield savings account offered by Openbank by Santander. Through Verizon + Openbank Savings accounts, eligible Verizon customers can earn a top-tier rate on their savings while receiving up to $180 per year in Verizon bill credits, depending on qualifying balances.
Since launching in the U.S., Openbank has gathered more than $11 billion in deposits as of Q2 2026, underscoring the strong demand for digital banking and its importance in Santander’s U.S. growth strategy. The Verizon relationship has played a key role in expanding awareness and accelerating adoption of the platform nationwide.

Openbank Representatives have been available at participating locations on select days and times, and they will not be conducting any direct sales activity, account opening, deposit-taking, transactions, or customer onboarding.
