Maureen Mitchell joined the Santander Holdings, USA, Inc. Board of Directors and the Santander Bank, N.A. Board of Directors in 2026.

Ms. Mitchell served on the Webster Financial Corporation (Webster) Board of Directors and the Webster Bank, N.A. from 2018 until August 2026.  She was a member of the Audit and Technology committees.  Prior to its merger with Webster, she served on the board of Sterling National Bank from 2018 until 2022.

Maureen is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Natixis/Loomis Sayles Mutual Funds and serves on the Advisory Board of Investcorp Capital Group.

In addition, she is a Senior Advisor with The Boston Consulting Group, a position held since 2017.  There she advises clients on issues of strategy, organizational transformation, product development and culture change.

She is the former President of Global Sales & Marketing for GE Asset Management. At GE she was a director on the investment boards of several U.S. and European funds, a Director of GE Asset Management, Inc., and President of GE Investment Distributors. She was also appointed to the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute.

Prior roles in the investment industry include as a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns Asset Management, Zurich Scudder, U.S. Trust and Bankers Trust.

Maureen serves on the Board of The Foundation for City College where she is Chair of the Investment Committee and Co-Chair of the Budget Committee.

WomenInc. named Maureen to their 2019 List of “Most Influential Corporate Board Directors”.  She has been named to Irish America magazine’s Business 100 list recognizing the top Irish-American and Irish-born U.S. executives, and was honored as one of the 50 Top Power Women in the U.S.  She was also named “Mentor of the Year” by She’s the First, a global educational advocacy organization,

Maureen is a member of the Women’s Forum of New York, the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Women Corporate Directors (WCD), and the Mutual Fund Directors Forum (MFDF).

Maureen received her MSW from Fordham University, and a BA with honors from The City College of New York.
