Peter Kapp is Head of Strategic Execution at Santander US, leading a portfolio of strategic initiatives ensuring alignment and execution across the company’s business.

Prior to Santander’s acquisition of Webster Bank in 2026, Peter served as Webster’s Executive Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer, where he led the corporate strategy function, including corporate development and resolution planning, helping shape the bank’s strategic vision and business priorities. He also oversaw Webster’s Data Governance function, supporting the enterprise through enhanced data quality and transparency.

Prior to joining Webster in 2024, Peter served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Capital Management and Finance Shared Services at Fannie Mae, where he played a key role in capital strategy and financial transformation. Earlier in his career, he spent 20 years at Citigroup, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Capital Planning, Forecasting, and Analytics. Peter began his career as an investment banker covering financial institutions at Citigroup.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University and an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School.
