Luis Massiani is Chief Operating Officer for Santander US and Santander Bank, N.A. In this role, he leads the company’s operating infrastructure, including Technology & Operations, while driving strategic execution across the business. In addition, he is overseeing the integration of Santander and Webster Bank following the acquisition in August 2026.

Prior to Santander’s acquisition of Webster, Luis served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Webster Financial Corporation and Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Webster Bank. At Webster, he was responsible for the bank’s operating infrastructure across Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, and Healthcare Financial Services, including HSA Bank, interLINK, and Ametros. He also oversaw digital banking, technology, and the Business Credit Center.

Previously to Webster, Luis served as Chief Operating Officer of Sterling Bancorp and President of Sterling National Bank, having earlier served as Chief Financial Officer of Sterling Bancorp and Sterling National Bank. Prior to Sterling, he was a Director in the Investment Banking department at Credit Suisse Securities. Before joining Credit Suisse, he served as a Director in the Investment Banking department at Citadel Securities.

Luis holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
