Charles (Chad) L. Wilkins is the Head of Healthcare Financial Services for Santander US. He is responsible for the strategy, operations, and overall performance of the business, including HSA Bank and Ametros.

Prior to Santander’s acquisition of Webster Bank in 2026, Chad spent 12 years at Webster, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President and Head of HSA Bank. During his tenure, HSA Bank strengthened its position as a leading provider of health savings accounts and healthcare financial solutions for individuals, employers, and partners.

Prior to Webster, Chad was Chief Executive Officer of Optum Financial Services, a division of UnitedHealth Group. Earlier in his career, Chad spent 15 years with U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems, where he held a series of senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Relationship Management.

Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Lehigh University.
