Drew Burchard is Head of Product and Platforms for Santander Bank, N.A., where he leads product strategy, platform development, and digital banking innovation initiatives, including Openbank US. He was recently named incoming Head of Digital Banking for Santander US following the anticipated close of the company’s acquisition of Webster Bank in the second half of the year.

With more than 15 years of experience spanning banking, strategy, and financial services, Drew has held leadership roles across consumer banking, lending strategy, retail banking, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Santander, he served in several senior leadership positions at Union Bank, including Head of Consumer and Small Business Deposits and Director of Unsecured Consumer Lending Strategy. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, advising Fortune 500 and financial services clients on strategy, financial analysis, and operational performance.

A Certified Public Accountant, Drew holds a Master of Professional Accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
