Santander US was recognized as one of the most charitable companies in Massachusetts in 2026 by the Boston Business Journal, receiving the honor for its charitable contributions to organizations across the Commonwealth.
The annual awards recognize Massachusetts companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting their communities through philanthropy. This year, 95 companies qualified for the Boston Business Journal’s list of top charitable contributors by donating at least $100,000 in cash contributions to Massachusetts-based charities in 2025.

The recognition also comes as Santander begins a new chapter in its U.S. growth following its acquisition of Webster Bank, which was also honored for its charitable contributions. Together, the organizations’ expanded presence across Massachusetts and the region will strengthen Santander’s ability to invest in local communities, support nonprofit partners, and create opportunities that have a lasting impact.

Last year, Santander US successfully concluded its second major Community Plan, surpassing a $13.6 billion commitment, which included over $100 million in charitable giving and 140,000 employee volunteer service hours in underserved communities. This year, the bank launched its next three-year plan, with more than $22 billion in commitments.
