Maria Veltre is the US Head of Digital and Innovation. She is responsible for the alignment of SHUSA’s businesses with Santander Group’s digital and product platform development. In addition, she oversees SBNA’s digital, marketing and brand initiatives.
Maria became the US Head of Digital and Innovation in September 2018 and has more than three decades of experience working in marketing, digital platforms, pricing strategy and product development and management. Maria joined Santander in September 2016 as SBNA’s Chief Marketing & Digital Officer for the Bank’s Consumer and Business Banking organization. Prior to joining Santander, Maria was the Chief Marketing Officer at both Fifth Third Bank and Citi’s Small Business unit, and before that held senior marketing roles at various financial institutions, including J.P. Morgan Chase.
Maria holds a B.S. in Economics from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
